Pickup erikoiskyvyn omaava Pokémon saattaa taistelun jälkeen pitää itemiä, jos sillä ei ole ennestään itemi holdissa. Se, kuinka hyvän itemin Pokémon voi löytää, riippuu sen levelistä. Ainoa Pickupin omaava Pokémon, joka löytyy Blackissa ja Whitessä, on Lillipup. Jos kehität sen, erikoiskyky häviää!
Huom! Pickup-Pokémonin ei tarvitse itse taistella, jotta se voi löytää itemin!
Huom! On olemassa myös Honey Gather -erikoiskyky, joka on Combeella ja Dream Worldistä tulleella Teddiursalla. Honey Gather -Pokémon voi joskus taistelun jälkeen pitää Honey-itemiä.
